Some Arsenal fans on social media have been reacting to claims made by The Independent about the situation behind the scenes at the club.
More specifically, they’ve been reacting to the notion that Mikel Arteta has a huge extent of control amongst the hierarchy, with some even beginning to nickname him ‘mini Arsene’ due to the amount of control he seemingly has.
As you can imagine, Arsenal fans are rather worried by this.
It’s one thing for a long-serving experienced manager like Arsene Wenger to have his finger in every pie at the club, but when it’s a struggling 37-year-old in his first-ever managerial job, alarm bells have to be ringing.
Supporters don’t like the fact Arteta seemingly has such a say about what goes on within all areas of the club, and they certainly don’t like the nickname he’s been given, with numerous fans claiming that it’s disrespectful to compare the Spaniard to the legendary Frenchman.
Of course, Arteta’s overarching influence wouldn’t be such an issue if things were going well on the pitch, but as all Gunners supporters know, they aren’t.
