Leeds United’s campaign has been described as an ‘absolute disaster’ following their 3-0 defeat this afternoon.

Marcelo Bielsa’s outfit were hammered by Everton at Goodison Park.

As a result, Leeds now have the joint-worst defensive record – or rather, they did before Manchester City stuck four past Norwich City tonight.

The Elland Road club have conceded 46 goals in 23 Premier League outings at an average of exactly two per game.

And Owen Hargreaves is stunned by how poor Leeds are defensively, claiming it is ‘remarkable’.

He told Optus Sport, after seeing the goals conceded graphic: “That is remarkable. That’s the 46th goal they’ve conceded Leeds – as many as Norwich. Their season has been an absolute disaster. I know they were brilliant last year but defensively it’s far too many.”

The West Yorkshire side can’t get overly comfortable because honestly, they could still get relegated.

Leeds supporters won’t want to subscribe to that level of pessimism, but it’s possible.

They’re 15th in the Premier League standings and six points clear of 18th-placed Norwich City.

Yes, the Canaries have played one game more, but would you back Leeds to win their match in hand?

On this form, and with star striker Patrick Bamford absent, it’s difficult seeing United’s fortunes changing drastically anytime soon, if we’re being entirely honest.
