Speaking on the Highbury Squad YouTube channel, Kevin Campbell has been discussing Emile Smith Rowe’s return for Arsenal after he appeared for the U21s earlier this week.
Smith Rowe has been out of action for what seems like forever for the Gunners after a long-term injury, but now, he’s edging closer to a return to first-team action.
Campbell is very excited by the idea of Smith Rowe coming back into the fold at the Emirates, stating that his return will be massive for Arsenal.

Smith Rowe’s return is massive
Campbell discussed Smith Rowe coming back into the team.
“He can affect games and that is huge for us, honestly, that is huge for us it’s massive. The problem is though that when you have a team that is winning games you don’t change a winning team, and we have been one of the most consistent starting XIs in the league,” Campbell said.
One final push
Arsenal may need just one final push to win the Premier League title this season, and Smith Rowe’s return could be just the boost they need.
It’s been a while, but we mustn’t forget that the attacking midfielder was genuinely one of Arsenal’s best players when he was in full flow last season.
He hit double figures in terms of goals in the league last season, and while he may not have the same sort of role when he returns from injury, having a player to bring off the bench like this will be the difference between winning and losing in some games.
As Campbell says, Smith Rowe’s return for Arsenal could be huge.
