Aaron Ramsdale has taken to Instagram to react after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang confirmed his move from Arsenal to Barcelona.

What’s the story?

Well, the Arsenal glovesman was clearly a fan of Aubameyang, as he sent the 32-year-old an emotional message after he joined Barcelona.

Ramsdale thanked the Gabon international for “looking after” him following his £30m move from Sheffield United back in August.

You can see the 23-year-old’s message in full below.

Evidently, Aubameyang was a popular member of the squad, as a number of Arsenal players have reached out to him.

The £56m man was forced out of Arsenal by Mikel Arteta following a disciplinary breach in December.

Aubameyang was said to have returned home late from a personal trip, which led to Arteta axing him from all first-team duties.

The former Borussia Dortmund man leaves Arsenal on a free transfer.

He may have been struggling for goals this season, and Arteta clearly had problems with him, but Aubameyang seemed to be a great guy.

As the Evening Standard claim, Aubameyang stayed late after training with the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe to help improve their finishing.

The Barcelona new boy also splashed out to treat Saka with a new chain in 2020, showing just how much he looked out for Arsenal’s young guns.

That is exactly what a captain should do.

Of course, he seemingly wasn’t the perfect captain, or Arteta wouldn’t have completely given up on him.

However, Aubameyang has a big heart, and he was a fantastic person to have around London Colney judging by how his teammates reacted to the situation.

Hopefully, the Gunners can find a suitable replacement this summer, as it will require a lot to fill Aubameyang’s shoes.
