Chris Burke has appeared to taunt Rangers fans on Twitter.

Burke, who spent nine years on Rangers’ books until 2009, scored against his former side for Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday.

The 35-year-old celebrated in front of the travelling fans, and then posted a photo of the moment on Twitter alongside the caption ‘Thanks for coming’.

According to The Scottish Sun, the former Scotland winger trolled the visiting Gers.

Burke, who left to join Cardiff City a decade ago, originally joined the Ibrox side as a teenager, and some Rangers fans on social media were unimpressed by his attempt to rile up the supporters.

Killie wound up beating Steven Gerrard’s side 2-1 after a last-minute penalty from Eamon Brophy gave Steve Clarke – the new Scotland manager – a winning send-off.
