Leeds United’s reported interest in £7 million-rated Slavia Prague attacker Nicolae Stanciu is a source of pride for club president Jaroslav Tvrdik, who described the speculation as a ‘nice concern’ in conversation with iSport.
After sealing their second Czech league title in succession, Slavia have seemingly taken up permanent residency in the English gossip columns.
The Red and Whites have already lost captain Tomas Soucek to West Ham United, although reports are suggesting that highly-rated winger Lukas Masopust could also be on his way to the London Stadium.
Right-back Vladimir Coufal was linked with Southampton, Brighton and the Hammers before signing a new contract over the weekend.
And now, attention has turned to Stanciu.
The Mail reports that newly-promoted Leeds have enquired about the availability of the 27-year-old Romania international, who is valued at £7 million.
President Tvrdik, however, is pleased to see that his players have admirers from all over Europe; even if it means his title-winning side is at risk of being ripped apart.

“The Premier League team’s interest is an appreciation of the great work of the whole club,” he says. “Thank you!
“In a way, it is also a ‘nice concern’ for the management.”
Stanciu, an attacking midfielder with a penchant for defence-splitting passes, produced 12 assists and four goals as Slavia secured silverware again in 2019/20.
Perhaps he could be the man capable of easing the creative burden on 35-year-old Pablo Hernandez at Elland Road.
