Kilmarnock boss Steve Clarke has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Brendan Rodgers at Scottish Premiership champions Celtic.

That’s that then. In quotes reported by the Daily Record on Wednesday morning, Steve Clarke has confirmed that he has no interest in leaving Kilmarnock to become the permanent manager of Celtic Football Club.
“I am not interested in leaving Kilmarnock for another Scottish club. I have said that before and that’s still the case,” said the former Chelsea, West Brom and Aston Villa coach.
“I am 100 per cent sure that I will be going back to England in the future, that’s where my life is.”
Whether or not this is a blow to Celtic, however, is up for debate. The Scottish Premiership giants lost Brendan Rodgers to the lure of the Premier League on Tuesday, the Northern Irishman leaving for Leicester City with just three months of the season left.
The Hoops have since turned to old hero Neil Lennon, offering the 47-year-old a contract until the end of the season.

Now, Clarke has done an outstanding job at Kilmarnock, turning the Rugby Park club into one of the toughest sides in the top flight of Scottish football. The 55-year-old has a superb record against Celtic too, beating Brendan Rodgers’ side 2-1 at Rugby Park in September and deservedly so.
Many Hoops fans had named Clarke as a potential replacement should Rodgers leave but how do they feel now he has ruled himself out?
