Liverpool supporters now want Kylian Mbappe signed up after Paris Saint-Germain were knocked out of the Champions League on Tuesday night.
After reaching the final last season, PSG were knocked out by Manchester City in the semi-finals this time around, with their 22-year-old superstar, who seemingly had a knock, not even coming off the bench during their 2-0 second-leg defeat at the Etihad.
There have been plenty of noises from the likes of Liverpool and Co. wanting to secure Mbappe’s signature, and with PSG suffering yet another blow last night, that talk will only increase.
Duncan Castles has stated on the Transfer Window Podcast that if Mbappe were to leave France then his first destination would be Liverpool and he has also told friends that he wants to make that Anfield move.
One thing is for sure, the Liverpool fans want him signed up because they feel they can provide him with the trophies he craves.
The one thing that’s in PSG’s favour is that they have the financial power to jab away any attempts to try and lure their talented World Cup winner away from Paris.
But will the player start making noises himself because there will be other European giants, who have the ingredients and history to succeed in this competition, who will want him on their shores.
The key thing is that he is years away from his peak, so there won’t be any desperation on his part, but his value will only increase and you don’t want to be the club that ends up making a late move on him.
