
A lot has been said about Jose Mourinho’s time at Tottenham, but one man the fans perhaps will listen to about their now-sacked manager is Harry Kane.
As the drama of the European Super League starts to wear off, more of the spotlight shines on Tottenham and Daniel Levy’s decision to part ways with Mourinho days before a League Cup final, which they subsequently lost, and not in a pleasant fashion.
Well, days after that quite abject Wembley final from Tottenham, Kane has told Sky Sports how he and Mourinho were a ‘good match-up’.
Added with that, the England captain feels that it was a ‘shame’ that Mourinho had to move on from life in North London.
Mourinho will always be a marmite-like figure and the same applies to how Tottenham supporters feel about him.
Before the Tottenham players could kick a ball under Mourinho, many felt that they would struggle to score goals, and their main man up top would find life pretty difficult.
But it was the opposite of that – and the fact that Kane is the Premier League’s highest goalscorer and assist maker tells you everything you need to know about the player and the man that just coached him.
Either way, as the months, pass by at Tottenham with life without Mourinho, many will now begin to see just how good or bad a job he really did.
