Everton manager Frank Lampard wants to sign Leeds United target Che Adams from Southampton in the summer transfer window, according to journalist Simon Phillips.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has told GiveMeSport that Everton boss Lampard has made signing the 26-year-old Scotland international striker his ‘top priority’.
Phillips told GiveMeSport: “I’ve been told that Che Adams is the top priority there for Lampard at least. But, obviously, at Everton, he’s got the board there, and the decisions are not just Lampard’s.”
Leeds need to work fast to sign Everton target Che Adams
In our view, if Leeds United are determined to sign Che Adams from Southampton in the summer transfer window, then they should make a bid now and get ahead of Everton in the race.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that Leeds and Everton are among the clubs keen on securing the services of the Scotland international midfielder.

Described as “terrific” by Rangers legend and former Scotland international striker Ally McCoist in The Southern Daily Echo in March 2022, Adams scored seven goals and gave three assists in the Premier League last season, and scored nine goals and provided five assists in the league in 2020-21.
The 26-year-old has scored two goals in two Premier League appearances for the Saints so far this campaign.
Everton need to sign a striker between now and the end of the summer transfer window, and the Toffees could move quickly for Adams.
The Merseyside club are not doing particularly great at the moment, and the board could grant Lampard his transfer wish.
