Newcastle United defender Achraf Lazaar has said that he is negotiating his exit from St. James’ Park to TuttoMercatoWeb.
Lazaar has barely featured for Newcastle ever since he arrived at the club back in 2016, after being sent out on a series of loan spells.
When Steve Bruce arrived there was actually hope that Lazaar would be given a chance at Newcastle.
Bruce took the full-back on loan when he was at Sheffield Wednesday and was impressed by his performances.
The current Magpies boss even labelled Lazaar as ‘terrific’ during his time at Hillsborough, as the Chronicle reported.
However, even Bruce felt that Lazaar wasn’t ready to play for Newcastle and loaned him out.

The Moroccan is now keen to leave St. James’ Park on a more permanent basis.
And he says that any club that signs him will be making an excellent purchase.
“We are negotiating,” Lazaar said. It’s a team that hasn’t valued me as I deserved and I don’t think they would this season. I feel ready, fit, ready to play.
“It will be my year. And whoever catches me does bingo, because I’m charged and motivated. And everyone knows what a player I am.”
