What a horrible end to the season for Tottenham Hotspur loanee Oliver Skipp.

Well, it was a brilliant end to the campaign after Norwich City were crowned Championship winners having also won Premier League promotion.

And although Skipp played a massive role in that, placing third in City’s Player of the Year awards, his season ended on a sour note.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who is one of Tottenham’s most exciting young players, appeared to pick up a foot injury in the title-clinching win over Reading at Carrow Road on Saturday.

He was seen wearing a protective boot and walking with crutches, with Canaries boss Daniel Farke revealing that the club’s medical department suspect a broken foot.

It was a very bittersweet end to an otherwise sensational season for Skipp and here’s how some Lilywhites fans reacted to the development:

There’s another negative aspect to this to consider.

A lot of Tottenham fans want Skipp involved in the senior side next season and no doubt the player would’ve wanted that too.

But if he’s sidelined for a matter of months, it severely handicaps him.

There’s a chance that by the time he’s fully fit again, Tottenham’s next coach, whoever that winds up being, will be planning for the season without Skipp, due to the fact he won’t be working with him everyday.

And therefore it’s plausible that another loan away from Hotspur Way may be considered.
