Clinton Morrison has criticised Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson on Sky Sports News (4:27pm, October 8, 2022) for a miss against Brentford at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The former Crystal Palace forward was following the match between Newcastle and Brentford in the Premier League this afternoon.
England international striker Wilson started the match for Eddie Howe’s side and led the line for the Magpies.
Wilson provided the assist for Newcastle’s third goal of the match in the 28th minute.
The striker had a chance to score in the second half, but he could not.
And Morrison was not impressed.
Criticism for Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson
Morrison said: “It’s a terrible finish from Callum Wilson, unusual to be fair. Joelinton does ever so well, clever back-heel to Bruno Guimaraes.
“He could shoot, he plays it to Wilson, who is about eight yards out. It was going wide, but a Brentford defender blocked it, but he had the whole goal.”

Callum Wilson’s miss against Brentford did not really affect Newcastle United in the end, and it was not going to.
Newcastle were already 3-1 ahead and were in control of the match.
The Magpies eventually added to the scoreline and picked up all three points from the Premier League game with relative ease.
Wilson is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and is a key figure at Newcastle.
While he will be disappointed with his miss against Brentford, we are confident that he will bounce back.
