Jamie O’Hara is insistent that Liverpool midfielder James Milner ‘isn’t underrated’, nor would he get into an all-time Premier League XI, even if you built three different teams.
Those views were shut down by his fellow talkSPORT pundit Jason Cundy who told him that it’s a ‘terrible’ take and even joked that he was going to ‘throw the pen at you’.
At the age of 37, James Milner has won it all on the domestic stage, including European glory with Liverpool, but he is set to depart Anfield in the summer.

It has been suggested that Brighton are going to take Milner on board when his contract expires – the Seagulls previously did this with Adam Lallana.
But after starting his career as a fresh-faced teenager for a Leeds United side that reached the Champions League semi-final, the 55-goal Premier League midfielder has repped nothing but big clubs during his career.
Would the versatile star get into your Premier League XI, even if you had to make three different teams? Well, for O’Hara, he certainly doesn’t, as he told talkSPORT whilst arguing with Cundy about the player’s legacy in the English game.
“Is James Milner underrated,” asked O’Hara to which Cundy responded ‘Yes, he is’ to the surprise of his fellow pundit.
O’Hara added: “I think he is highly regarded in the game and a fantastic professional – if you were going to pick three Premier League XIs would he be in it?” Cundy responded ‘yes’ again to the surprise of O’Hara who stated: ‘No, he wouldn’t’.
JC: “Is he a Premier League legend? The answer to that is an emphatic yes. He is a Premier League legend.”
JO: “But you say underrated. I don’t think you would put James Milner anywhere near an all-time XI. Three teams (of all-time XIs).
JC: “He is in the conversation (of Yaya, Gerrard, Lampard and Barry).” to which O’Hara added: “He’s not in the conversation with them people.”
Cundy then told the former midfielder: “Oh, that’s terrible from you. I am going to throw that pen at you.”

MILNER DESERVES MORE RECOGNITION
Not only has Milner won it all in club football, but he has played for some of the biggest teams in the country.
In fact, every shirt he has donned would be deemed a huge club or a sleeping giant.
From his boyhood club Leeds, the vibrant one-city club of Newcastle United, the rich history of Aston Villa when they were a top-six side, to winning titles at Manchester City and then the lot in the colours of Liverpool.
That’s some CV he has on his record, not forgetting the 61-caps for England.
