Glenn Murray has criticised Tottenham Hotspur central defender Eric Dier on BBC Sport for his role in Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah’s second goal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday evening.
Egypt international forward Salah scored twice in the first half for Liverpool against Tottenham away from home in North London in the Premier League game.
The first goal from the former Chelsea player came in the 11th minute when Darwin Nunez provided the assist.
Salah found the back of the net again on 40 minutes.
It was poor defending from England international Dier, who can also operate as a midfielder.
The £4 million (BBC Sport) star attempting to head the ball back to Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

But he could not do it.
The ball fell for Salah, and the former AS Roma star finished it off cooly.
Dier is one of the best defenders in the Premier League and looks set to feature for England at the upcoming 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.
The Englishman has been playing really well for Tottenham this season, but we have to say that it was a very bad mistake from him that led to Salah’s second goal in the first half.
Criticism for Tottenham Hotspur’s Eric Dier v Liverpool
Murray said: “Mo Salah at the double. This one is an absolute gift, an early Christmas present from Eric Dier. It’s a terrible touch from Dier, it falls to Salah. He’s bearing down on Lloris.
“He takes a touch, composes himself, waits for the goalkeeper to go down and lifts it over him casually into an empty net then wheels away in celebration.”
