Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up a move to sign Barcelona wonderkid Munir El Haddadi, according to Catalan newspaper Sport.
Head coach Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of the 20-year-old attacker according to the report, but Spurs are put off by Barcelona’s insistence on a clause which would enable them to potentially buy back the forward.
This is Barcelona’s latest approach to their young talent, with Stoke and Everton accepting the terms regarding both Bojan and Gerard Deulofeu.

It is understandable that hard line negotiator Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would be less than keen on not having complete control of a player whose wages the club would be paying, but Munir may be worth making an exception for.
The youngster is a special talent who obviously has difficulty breaking into a Barcelona front three with Neymar, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi in front of him.
He would not be guaranteed starts at Spurs either, but his ability to play on either wing provides him with a chance of getting his fair share of game time, and could benefit from Mauricio Pochettino’s guidance in a similar way to Erik Lamela.

Chances to snap up top talents from Barcelona’s academy who are already making first team in-roads do not come along too often, and Spurs would be wise to take it.
Tottenham’s aim is to win now, and while there is a chance down the line that Munir could be taken back by Barcelona, they should not worry about that if they buy him, and simply concentrate on making the most out of him while he is at the club.
