Terence Crawford believes he has faced a bigger puncher than Canelo Alvarez during his career.
‘Bud’ delivered a dominant and fantastic performance last night, securing a unanimous decision victory over his rival.
And even though the Mexican is known for his strength and punching power, Crawford was clear in his assessment after the fight.
Terence Crawford rates Egidijus Kavaliauskas’ power above Canelo Alvarez’s

Terence Crawford believes Egidijus Kavaliauskas hits harder than Canelo Alvarez, as he revealed in the press conference after the fight against the Mexican legend.
The American fought the Lithuanian in 2019, and had to weather an early storm before stopping him in the ninth round. It was one of several title defences that Crawford made at welterweight.
“I’ve been hit harder in a real fight. ‘Mean Machine’ hit harder than Canelo, to me, to be honest,” the Nebraska native told the reporters after beating Canelo.
Did Canelo Alvarez name Terence Crawford or Floyd Mayweather as the better fighter?
Crawford looked a class above Canelo, but it was not the first time the Mexican had been on the wrong side of a one-sided contest.
Fans were eager to hear his thoughts on how ‘Bud’ compared to Floyd Mayweather, who handed him his first defeat back in 2013.
After the fight, he was asked directly whether he felt Crawford was better than Mayweather, and he responded positively.
“I think Crawford is way better than Floyd Mayweather,” Canelo said.
