Don Hutchison was totally dismissing the suggestion of the under-fire Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel becoming Liverpool’s next manager.
All the big managerial names across Europe are now going to be looking over their shoulders because there might be a knock on their door in the coming months.
Liverpool will now have to plan for life without Jurgen Klopp after he announced in January he will leave at the end of the season.
When Thomas Tuchel was winning the UEFA Champions League in the colours of Chelsea, then he would have been near the top of the list, at that time.
But as Don Hutchison pointed out, the 50-year-old is now probably ‘tenth at best’ amid his struggles at Bayern Munich, as he told ESPN.
Despite winning 11 Bundesliga titles in a row, this could be the year that it all falls down for Germany’s biggest club because a certain Xabi Alonso is spoiling their party.
Bayer Leverkusen are eight points clear at the top of the Bundesliga and, at the rate they are going, they are probably going to ensure Thomas Tuchel doesn’t even see the season out.
Thomas Tuchel at Liverpool
“Ahh, no chance,” said Hutchison about Tuchel being at Liverpool. “No chance. He would be tenth on the list, at best!”

Can Jurgen Klopp end on a high?
As things stand, the Reds are on course to win an outrageous four trophies under their departing coach, which would be some feat if it happens.
First up, the most likely trophy is the League Cup because they can win that when they face Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday.
That’s when they can turn their attention to the Europa League and the Premier League. Both will prove to be a serious battle from now until the end of the campaign.
There will be no let-off, Europe is gruelling and the Europa League is one of the toughest competitions to win, even if on paper you think you can coast past teams x, y and z.
Then the Premier League, the main crown jewel. The trophy all Liverpool fans want the most. They still have a lead at the top, but Arsenal and Manchester City are breathing down their neck.
The one that’s in between is the FA Cup. Klopp has most recently won that trophy, but that would also come down to the luck of the draw, like it is for everybody.
