Ole Gunnar Solskjaer blasted Tottenham forward, Heung-Min Son, on Sky Sports for staying down for ‘three minutes’ and needing ‘ten of his mates’ to help him up.

This all stems from Manchester United seeing their opening goal disallowed because the officials felt that the Tottenham man was fouled by Scott McTominay in the build-up to their goal.

It didn’t help proceedings when Son went onto score moments later, but those in Red had the last laugh because they would walk away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as 3-1 winners.

After the game, Solskjaer let rip at Son’s actions and the manner in which he stayed down.

“The game is gone if that’s a clear and obvious error,” said Solskjaer. “So, perfectly good goal and that kick-started us though. I know we conceded but the performance from then until the end of the game was so much better.

“We shouldn’t be conned but I have to say if my son stays down like this for three minutes and he gets ten of his mates around him, if he gets that in his face from one of his other mates, and needs ten mates to help him up.

“Well, he won’t get any food. And I am saying the same now when the first time we played them. We weren’t conned, the referee was.”

One thing is for sure, Son wasn’t hurt enough for him to stay down as long as he did.

But those were actions of a player doing everything in his power to win for his team, whether others liked it or not.

The £22 million speedster (Guardian) does have a nasty streak to his game, which is what you would expect from a typical Jose Mourinho-type player.
