Amazon Prime presenter Gabby Logan stated that ‘it tells you everything’ that the Leeds United fans were applauding Pep Guardiola before their clash against Manchester City on Wednesday night at Elland Road.
The Manchester City boss was walking down the touchline to give an interview to Amazon, who were pitchside for the Premier League clash, and Logan commented on Leeds fans’ actions, which shows ‘the respect’ Guardiola has in England.
When the 51-year-old stepped foot into English football for the first time in 2016, he arrived as a legendary figure after his success stories at Bayern Munich, but more notably, at Lionel Messi-inspired Barcelona.

That Barcelona side, which dominated Spanish football and Europe, including dethroning the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United, has been regarded as one of the greatest-ever.
And now Guardiola’s status has gone up a few more levels, after four Premier League titles in five seasons in the colours of Man City.
At 51, after also signing a new contract, he is still going strong. Gabby Logan shared the reception he got from Leeds fans yesterday, as she told Amazon Prime Sport.
“You hear that round of applause, that’s for Pep Guardiola who is just walking down to have a chat with us,” said Logan. “It kind of tells you everything you need to know about the respect he has in England.
“Leeds fans applauding the away manager.”

GUARDIOLA SEARCHING FOR THAT EUROPEAN CUP
Not since his Barcelona days has Guardiola won the European Cup and that’s a cloud that continues to hover over his head and Man City’s.
On either side of him being at Bayern Munich, the German giants secured Champions League glory and that’s the trophy those at the Etihad crave the most.
Whilst Guardiola is already a legendary figure in management, if he does win Man City their first-ever European Cup, then many will probably regard the Spaniard as the best of them all.
