Another young Manchester United player has impressed this weekend.

At the end of last season, Manchester United teenager Marcus Rashford was reportedly the subject of a transfer battle, with Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal all said to be interested in the then-16-year-old.

Rashford is an attacking midfielder who, at the time, was yet to agree a new deal at Old Trafford and was seemingly attracting a number of possible suitors.

In the end, they were unsuccessful, with the teenager putting pen to paper on a new deal; and this weekend he continued to show why he is so highly-rated, scoring both goals in United’s under-18s’ victory against their Stoke City counterparts.

Rashford is an England under-18 international who has a habit of scoring outstanding strikes at a number of different levels.

He is also the latest in a long line of United youngsters to suggest he could have a very bright future at the club, with the likes of Demetri Mitchell and Ben Pearson also pushing hard for first-team recognition in due course.
