Bradley Ibrahim has celebrated an excellent month at Arsenal by putting pen to paper on professional terms with the Gunners – and has underlined his delight with a post on Instagram. Jack Wilshere has also responded.

A regular, and sometimes captain in Arsenal’s Under-18 side, Ibrahim was eligible to sign professional terms at Arsenal from October 2021 – when he turned 17. But it is only until this month, that he has put pen to paper.

It comes after Ibrahim made the step up from Under-18’s football to the 23’s. In the last few weeks, he has shown not only he is capable of playing at Premier League 2 level, but also his wide-ranging versatility.

Naturally a midfielder, Ibrahim is also seen as being more than adept as a central defender. His Under-23’s debut came in a completely different position, as a right-back during a 1-1 draw with Leicester in February.

Ibrahim started and finished that outing, before making substitute appearances in the next two PL2 fixtures against Liverpool and Tottenham. He has now penned a pro deal, and posted on Instagram on Monday.

Ibrahim signs Arsenal deal: Well deserved, as Wilshere responds

It is certainly something Arsenal had to do, given his form for the 18’s and his seamless transition into the second string – despite being in an unnatural right-back slot. He is ahead of the curve at just 17.

Over the remainder of the season and next, Ibrahim will be focusing on becoming a regular for the reserves – and perhaps showing in training, that he deserves a first-team debut. Jack Wilshere responded on Instagram.
