Arsenal are in action against Southampton this evening, with Mikel Arteta desperately looking for a positive result.

The Gunners lost 3-0 at Manchester City last week as the Premier League made its return, before then falling to a 2-1 defeat at Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

Arsenal need to find their feet, and they will hope for much better against a Southampton side edging towards Premier League survival.

Arteta put his players through their paces on Wednesday ahead of tonight’s game, and one youngster was spotted in the session.

Defender Harry Clarke was given a chance to shine by Arteta, and was spotted marking striker Alexandre Lacazette in the photo below.

Clarke will hope to have done enough to impress Arteta, who has given chances to homegrown players such as Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah.

Clarke, 19, predominantly plays as a centre back but can also feature at right back or in holding midfield, with his versatility particularly valuable.

The teenager has been a regular in Premier League 2 this season, and with Pablo Mari out injured, Clarke may well hope for a Premier League debut before the end of the season.
