Faustino Anjorin has agreed a new contract with Chelsea to seemingly bring an end to any hopes Liverpool or Arsenal had of raiding Stamford Bridge for a highly-rated youngster, according to Goal.
Three years ago, one of the most exciting teenage talents in British football swapped Stamford Bridge for Anfield in controversial circumstances.
And AllNigeriaSoccer suggested last week that Anjorin was set to be offered the opportunity to follow in Dominic Solanke’s footsteps with his contract in West London due to expire at the end of the current campaign.
Jurgen Klopp has launched the careers of many a world-class talent, including Marco Reus, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Robert Lewandowski and Trent Alexander-Arnold. And the opportunity to hone his talents under one of Europe’s most charismatic coaches must have appealed to Anjorin.
The Chelsea youngster, who made his Premier League debut in March’s 4-0 thrashing of Everton, was also on the radar of Arsenal, Manchester City and Norwich.
But it seems that Blues fans can rest a little easier right now.

Goal claims that Anjorin has agreed a new deal and it seems only a matter of time before he is posing at Stamford Bridge with Frank Lampard’s arm around his shoulder.
The England U19 ace has produced nine goals and assists in 11 Premier League 2 matches this season and he should be confident of being handed a run of games under Lampard if he continues to impress behind the scenes in West London.
