Ted Lasso star exploring return to football
Before becoming widely known for his role as Dani Rojas, Fernandez played football earlier in his life. His playing career reportedly ended because of knee injuries.
The prospect of returning to competitive football at the age of 35 has prompted debate about whether the transition is achievable.
Even so, the story has attracted attention due to Fernandez’s popularity with football fans. For now, the club continues evaluating whether the actor can secure a place on the roster.
If El Paso Locomotive ultimately offer him a contract, the move would mark an unusual crossover between television and professional sport.
