Yaya Toure has bigged up Tottenham summer signing, Yves Bissouma, by claiming that ‘technically he has it’ and explained how they came through the same academy in Mali.
The Premier League legend added that Bissouma is similar to him in that sense because ‘the way I understand football, he understands the same way’, as he posted on Instagram.
Antonio Conte secured the talents of Bissouma in the summer when he arrived from Brighton, but the 26-year-old has struggled to make an impact early on.

Bissouma has been restricted to one Premier League start so far and the rest have been minutes off the bench, including 20 minutes during his side’s 6-2 thrashing of Leicester City.
Perhaps worryingly, Conte did recently come out and claim that Bissouma is struggling from a tactical aspect and he still needs time.
But with Toure now working with Tottenham’s academy, then there isn’t a better person Bissouma can learn off because I am pretty sure he will be trying to get snippets of information from the Manchester City legend when he can.
“I think what you say is really interesting (on him and Bissouma coming through the same academy in Mali and being taught by the same teacher)” said Toure.
“In the academy, we have the same philosophy, the same way to train and the same way to understand football.
“Physicality and technically, he has it. Sometimes you can see in his game when he plays, then I can read his game because we have been in the same academy with the same teacher.
“We have been educated in the sense that we can play in any position. They train us to be more versatile. Bissouma has the same education as well as me. We understand the games differently and in the best way possible.
“The way I understand football, he understands the same way.”

BISSOUMA IS MORE THAN CAPABLE OF BECOMING A REGULAR STARTER
When Bissouma was signed by Tottenham, it was met with envy by some opposition fans because they thought the north London side had landed a top, top talent.
And whilst it has been a slow start for the midfielder, it’s still the case.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur are the two main men in the middle of the park for Conte, with the latter thriving since his January move and the former being a regular since he was brought to the club by Jose Mourinho.
Tottenham have enough games in the bank for Bissouma to spark, it’s just a case of that one game lighting the fire and then, just like the forward line, there will be big debates as to who should be starting in midfield.
