Antonio Conte has left Tottenham Hotspur fans in hysterics already after his celebratory post following his announcement to become their new manager.
Conte takes charge
Conte officially became Tottenham’s new manager yesterday, and he posted an image to his Instagram story marking the occasion.
However, the musical choice that accompanied the picture left many Spurs fans shocked.
Now, a cultured man like Conte may have been expected to post a picture with some classical tunes, or some popular Italian music.
However, the song choice he went with caught every Tottenham fan by surprise.
Conte posted his picture alongside Russ Millions and Tion Wayne’s track, Body.
The grime song, which contains lyrics such as ‘Copy, copy, opps copy the mandem’, is not a tune which Conte would typically have been associated with.
But it did provide Tottenham fans with a good laugh on the social media website.
Not even the first time
It should be noted that this isn’t the first time Conte has been linked with grime music!
In his spell as Chelsea boss he was included in Eyez and Maniac’s music video for Spitting Fire.
The excitement around Conte’s appointment at Tottenham is palpable.
Spurs have gone from having a manager who was completely unproven at the top level, to one who is among the most success in world football.
Conte has won the Premier League and Serie A league titles during an illustrious career to date, and the expectation is that he will improve Tottenham’s performances almost immediately after taking charge.
