Spurs go to St James’s Park in the knowledge that victory would lift them to fourth in the Premier League table with eight games to go after Chelsea’s shock defeat by West Brom on Saturday.
And it looks like Jose Mourinho has a welcome boost in terms of returning players.
Speaking to a press conference on Friday, the Portuguese coach confirmed that Son Heung-min would start the game and heavily hinted the same for Sergio Reguilon.
Spanish left-back Reguilon came off injured in the win over Aston Villa prior to the international break and had been a doubt to face the Magpies, while Son, who has 18 goals in all competitions this season, missed the trip to Villa Park entirely due to injury.
