The England international limped off against Crystal Palace on Saturday with a dead leg, and while it looked like a painful injury, it doesn’t seem to have been a serious issue.
Indeed, Dier is hopeful of being back against Chelsea, and that’s a real boost for Tottenham, especially when you consider the ongoing issues they have in defence.
Japhet Tanganga is suspended after his red card against Palace, while Davinson Sanchez and Cristian Romero may struggle for match fitness after being forced to quarantine after their international commitments.
Whether or not Dier is able to play against Chelsea or not remains to be seen, but Tottenham fans are absolutely buzzing to hear that there’s a chance he’ll be able to play.
