Aston Villa fans are loving Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, heaping praise on their star man, Jack Grealish.
Tottenham’s deadly number nine will be hoping to link up with Villa’s expert ball-carrier at the Euros this summer, with both in contention to start together.
It’s obvious that Kane will start for Gareth Southgate, but with Grealish handed the number 7 shirt, he will be hoping to wear that with pride this summer and earn some serious minutes.
Kane told The Overlap that he ‘loves’ Grealish as a player and he thinks the boyhood Villa fan sees the game ‘the way I see the game’.
That will be music to the ears for England fans, who will be hoping it results in them both starting when the Three Lions kick off their Euro 2020 campaign against Croatia.
But Kane’s comments have also been appreciated by the Villa supporters, who have cheekily claimed that the Tottenham man is headed their way.
It has been well-documented that Spurs were keen on Grealish when Villa were in the Championship, and given both players talents, it is a match made in heaven.
And whilst it’s a match-up that isn’t going to be seen on the domestic circuit, it may well be the future for England over these next 5-10 years.
Either way, both have to start England’s opening game at the delayed Euro 2020 because they have the quality to light up the tournament.
