It’s fair to say that the training pictures before Arsenal’s game against Sunderland have left many supporters very excited.
Getting the call up
Arsenal have called up some of their most exciting young talents into first-team training before their League Cup game this evening.
That move suggests that Mikel Arteta may well be considered handing some rare opportunities to Arsenal’s emergent talent.
The likes of Charlie Patino, Folarin Balogun, Salah Oulad and Omar Rekik were all spotted in yesterday’s session.
And Arsenal fans are now becoming very excited about tonight’s game.
Big night ahead
If Arteta really does reshuffle his team and name a number of youngsters then the most exciting addition to Arsenal’s line-up could be Patino.
The youngster is rapidly developing a reputation as the Gunners’ finest prospect for the future.
His form has quickly made him one of the potential stars of tomorrow, with Jack Wilshere among those to name him as the most exciting youngster at the club.
Patino is blessed with great ability on the football and while he may need to bulk up physically before he is ready to start on a regular basis, there is little doubt that he has the technical ability to become a first-team regular.
It could also be an important night for Balogun.
He signed a new contract at Arsenal last summer and even started in their first game of the season.
However, he has found his first-team chances harder to come by as the campaign progresses and he could do with proving to Arteta that he is capable of playing a role if he is backed to feature later.
