Cardiff defender Steven Caulker has said leaks of information have been happening all season
Cardiff City captain Steven Caulker has said that leaks of information have been going on all season, in wake of the news that the Bluebirds team found its way into Crystal Palace hands before kick-off last week.
Cardiff City Chairman Mehmet Dalman is believed to have contacted the Premier League over the leak of team-news to Crystal Palace before last weekend’s fixture in the Welsh capital.
Palace thrashed Cardiff 3-0 to all but end their hopes of remaining in the Premier League next season.
Former Cardiff employee Iain Moody, who is now on board at Crystal Palace as their sporting director, has already strongly denied any involvement with the allegations of leaked information.
“That is incredibly, extraordinarily untrue.” He said.
The leak is not thought to have come from any of the Cardiff City players, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reaffirming trust in his dressing room during his heated Friday press conference.
But club captain Steven Caulker has said that leaks of this kind have been happening throughout the season.
“It has obviously come from somewhere. That’s down to the gaffer and the staff above him to sort stuff out, and we can just focus on playing football.
“You have a bit of banter with your ex-team-mates and friends in football. Until the Premier League have investigated it and got to the bottom of it, I certainly won’t be pointing any fingers.”
Cardiff travel to Southampton on Saturday to try and salvage what already looks a very improbable chance of remaining in the Premier League for next season.
