Andros Townsend has said on talkSPORT that Wilfried Zaha is ready for a new challenge, amid reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
Goal have reported this week that Tottenham and Everton are interested in signing Zaha from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that the former Manchester United winger is valued at £40 million.
90min reported in April that Arsenal are back on the hunt for Zaha, having wanted to sign him in the summer of 2019.
Townsend, who is leaving Palace this summer and has been linked with Newcastle United, has said that Zaha is ready for a new challenge.
The former Tottenham winger said about Zaha on talkSPORT: “Although I would love to see him play at Palace for as long as possible as a Palace player, as Wilf’s friend, I would love to see him to eventually get that chance to shine in the biggest stage.
“He is a top player. He wants to be playing in the biggest stage possible. He wants to be playing in the Champions League, he wants to be winning trophies, the hunger is definitely not a problem for Wilf.”
Palace are an established club in the Premier League, but the Eagles are not going to win any major trophies anytime soon.

Tottenham and Arsenal are bigger clubs than Palace.
Zaha would have a bigger chance of winning trophies with Arsenal and Tottenham, or at least playing in the Champions League.
Zaha is 28 now and is at the top of his game, and he would be able to make an immediate impact at Arsenal or Tottenham.
The reported transfer fee of £40 million could prove to be a bargain for Arsenal or Spurs if Zaha is able to take them back to the Champions League.
