Borussia Dortmund midfielder Thomas Delaney has raved about his teammate and reported Liverpool target Jadon Sancho to ESPN.

The 28-year-old Denmark international midfielder has said that Sancho is one of the best players he has ever played with.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool are interested in signing the England international winger in the summer transfer window, with German club Dortmund valuing the 20-year-old at £120 million.

Delaney told ESPN about Sancho: “Clearly, one of the biggest talents that I’ve played with. With that talent comes a lot of pressure, and I think he slowly starts to feel that from the England national team and clubs surrounding him now.

“Up until this point he’s been a talent performing very well, performing better than what he is expected to do, but there was always going to be a next step, and that’s going to be interesting. Next step in his career and his development.

“Only looking at his skills, he definitely has what it takes to become one of the five biggest players in the world. You see big talents go to waste, and I would say that he’s already done enough to prove himself.

“He’s 19 and he’s got the most goal involvement in the league together with Timo Werner and [Robert] Lewandowski, which is amazing, but he should strive for more.”

Good signing for Liverpool?

Sancho is one of the best young wingers in Europe, and the Englishman has developed and progressed a lot since his move to Dortmund from City.

The 20-year-old scores goals and creates them, and he also has experience in the Champions League with the German club.

Although Liverpool have a very strong and settled attacking unit, manager Jurgen Klopp could always do with new quality players, and Sancho would be a smart signing for the Reds, not just for now, but in the long run as well.

However, amid the economic uncertainty caused by the global health crisis, it remains to be seen if Liverpool will pay the £120 million transfer fee that Dortmund reportedly want.
