The Times reported in August that Leeds are interested in signing Kent from Rangers in the summer transfer window and made a bid of £10 million, which was turned down.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard himself said that Leeds had made a bid for Kent, as quoted on talkSPORT.
Tavernier has raved about the former Liverpool winger, who has been in brilliant form so far this season, scoring four goals in seven Scottish Premiership matches for the Gers, according to WhoScored.
Tavernier told The Scotsman about Kent: “Ryan’s been terrific for us with his goal contributions and was rightly named Player of the Month.
“He’s coming up with the goals now and that’s the one area where we wanted him to get better. He gets in those attacking positions and we want him to be on the score sheet, want him to get assists.
“He’s doing that now and he’s been a real asset for us. I thought he maybe could have got a hat-trick against United but I’m delighted with how he’s playing and progressing.”

Leeds clearly rate Kent highly, which is why they made an offer for him, and Tavernier’s aforementioned comments only show just how good a player he is.
The winger has pace, scores goals, and creates chances for his teammates, and he would make an instant impact at Leeds.
However, the former Liverpool man himself recently told The Glasgow Evening Times that he is committed to Rangers, and the Scottish Premiership giants are unlikely to sell him, as they are aiming to win the league title this season.
