Moses Simon, Victor Osimhen’s international teammate, spoke to Tribal Football about his compatriot’s future.

Osimhen has had a fantastic season for Lille. The Nigerian has scored 18 goals and has provided six assists in all competitions this term, and that has attracted a number of big clubs across Europe.

The Daily Express recently claimed that Premier League trio Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham were all interested in signing Osimhen this in summer’s transfer window.

Telefoot revealed that an unnamed English club had tabled a £75 million bid for the striker, which should be enough to push a move through this summer.

Simon, who knows Osimhen very well thanks to their time together with the Nigerian national team, has claimed that his compatriot will move to a bigger club this summer.

He said: “We all know, Victor is a good player. He did well in Belgium with Charleroi and he is still doing well in Ligue 1. Still very young, strong, a very good striker, a born goal poacher. If he continues to do well, he will move to a bigger club.”

Lille have been phenomenal with their recruitment recently. The French outfit made a massive profit last summer when they sold Nicolas Pepe to Arsenal for a staggering £72 million. (BBC)

If reports are to be believed, they will make more than that through Osimhen’s sale, which looks very likely in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are all a huge upgrade for Osimhen but the current financial climate will make it difficult for all of those clubs to lure him in this summer.
