Aston Villa fans are backing Emi Buendia to score against Arsenal ahead of their Premier League showdown on Friday night.
It perhaps could have been different for Buendia, if he opted to pick Arsenal over Villa in the summer, well that’s what the rumours suggest, anyway.
Both clubs were seemingly tussling for his signature, after he helped Norwich to promotion, as he decided to opt for Villa Park instead of the Emirates.
And now the Villa fans would like to see him score tonight and continue his strong form from the last game.
Buendia produced his best performance since moving to the Midlands last Saturday, but unfortunately for him, when he was subbed with his team leading 2-0, they somehow capitulated and lost the tie 3-2 in the last ten minutes against Wolves.
It has been a stop-start time for Buendia because, after scoring in his third game for the club in August, he never started again for Dean Smith until last week because of the farce surrounding the international games.
The Argentina international was involved in the abandoned game against Brazil, then he had to quarantine, which affected his game in Villa’s forthcoming games after that.
Villa beat the likes of Everton and Manchester United during that period, so it was even more difficult for him to get back into the side.
He is now back in action and he will be hoping to really show what he is all about.
