Kacper Kozlowski has agreed a move to a ‘top club from England’ amid reported interest from Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League giants Liverpool, fellow Poland international Maciej Rybus tells Weszlo.
Robert Lewandowski was 21 years of age when he was unveiled as a Borussia Dortmund player a decade ago.
He had 82 first-team appearances under his belt upon his arrival on the banks of the Rhine, too, not to mention 41 goals and the 2010 Ekstraklasa title.
Kozlowski, in contrast, only turned 18 a couple of weeks ago.
And though the teenager has already forced his way into Paulo Sousa’s plans in the national team set up, there’s a feeling in Poland that Kozlowski would be better off staying where he is than risk becoming a small fish in a big Anfield pond; a minnow in Liverpool’s Pacific Ocean of talent.
Lewandowski himself claimed in October that Kozlowski, a talented attacking midfielder who’s been compared to Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, should turn down Liverpool in favour of extending his stay at Polish outfit Pogon Szczencin.
It appears that Kozlowski, however, is backing himself to succeed at one of England’s biggest clubs with an as-yet unnamed outfit fighting off competition from Rybus’ Lokomotiv Moscow for his sought-after signature.

“(Ralf Rangnick’s) scouts probed the possibility of buying Kacper Kozlowski from Pogon Szczecin. They asked me about him,” explains the veteran full-back.
Rangnick, as you might have heard, has agreed a deal to become Manchester United’s interim manager after less than half a season as Lokomotiv Moscow’s head of sports and development.
“(Lokomotiv) wanted to pay really good money, ten million euros (£8.5 million). But apparently Kacper has already made an agreement with some top club from England, where he is to go after the season,” Rybus adds.
Kozlowski has three goals and three assists to his name from 14 Ekstraklasa appearances this season and, according to Polish legend Zbigniew Boniek, possesses talent that would rival that of Jamal Musiala, Jude Bellingham and Liverpool’s own Harvey Elliott.
