Soares looks set to stay at St Mary’s
Southampton are set to offer Euro 2016 winner Cedric Soares a new contract at St Mary’s, the Daily Mail has reported.

The full-back capped off an impressive year by helping Portugal claim a momentous European title in France, which is likely to have seen his stock rise during the summer window.
Soares has had a good year for his national side as well as his club
But Southampton, who are looking to build for a long-term future under new manager Claude Puel, have already moved to try to tie down Soares, with the Daily Mail claiming that contract talks between the two parties have already begun.

Having lost Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle already in this summer transfer window, Southampton are understandably keen not to lose any more of their top-performing stars.
As well as Soares, the club is reportedly ready to offer Serbian midfielder Dusan Tadic and striker Shane Long new deals, in a bid to convince them that their long-term future is at St Mary’s.
