Meireles has been heavily linked with a return to England.
Meireles is available on a free transfer after leaving Fenerbahce
AFC Bournemouth have not made a move for out-of-contract Fenerbahce midfielder Raul Meireles, the Bournemouth Daily Echo has reported.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea star has been heavily linked with a return to England this summer, with Turkish website Aktif Mediya even reporting that the Cherries had seen off competition from Championship outfit Aston Villa to secure a free transfer.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe seemingly has work to do if he wants to bring Meireles to the club
However, the Daily Echo claims there is no deal in place for the 33-year-old, who with 73 caps for Portugal would represent a hugely experienced signing for Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe.
Meireles has already enjoyed a successful, albeit short, spell in the Premier League, playing for Liverpool and Chelsea between 2010 to 2012, winning the FA Cup and Champions League with the Blues.
Meireles was overlooked for a place in Portugal’s Euro 2016 squad
He then made the move to Fenerbahce for £7.6million, but an injury-plagued campaign restricted him to just 11 Super Liga appearances last term, meaning he was overlooked by Portugal manager Fernando Santos for his country’s Euro 2016 squad.
A return to England may still be a possibility for the veteran, but a move to the Vitality Stadium will require a little more work.
