Norwich City striker Steven Naismith insists he does not regret moving to Carrow Road, despite the club being relegated from the Premier League.
The Scot arrived from Everton for £8 million in January, but despite scoring on his debut against Liverpool, he struggled to make an impact during the latter stages of the season, which ultimately saw the Canaries make an immediate to the Championship.

The 29-year-old is expected to be a key part of Norwich’s bid for promotion next season, and he is certain that despite preparing for life in the second tier, he made the right decision to leave Merseyside.
According to the Eastern Daily Press, Naismith said: “I have no regrets. It was more a decision about how much game time I was going to get and at my age you want to be involved every week.

“As the games go by and you’re not it’s harder to feel part of it, especially when you’re one of the older guys in the team.”
Naismith is currently training with the Scotland side, who are preparing to take on Italy in Malta on Sunday, and he is certain that his time with Norwich has helped him become a regular for his country.
He added: “Moving to Norwich was more about me getting the chance to play every week. I might not be sitting here in the Scotland camp had I stayed at Everton and not played much.”
