Everton fans believe Crystal Palace’s Yannick Bolasie is not worth his reported £30 million price tag.
Bolasie is reportedly Everton’s top transfer target this summer
Everton fans have taken to social media to voice their unease at their pursuit of Crystal Palace playmaker Yannick Bolasie, after The Guardian claimed on Monday that the Toffees are set to improve on their initial bid of £18 million.
Bolasie has been linked with several clubs this summer, but Everton are thought to be the first club to register an official interest, as new boss Ronald Koeman looks to make an impact.
His future at Selhurst Park has come under closer scrutiny since the arrival of Andros Townsend from Newcastle United earlier in the summer, but the Eagles are still rumoured to be holding out for a fee closer to £30 million.
Everton fans have seen their club make two additions this summer, signing midfielder Idrissa Gueye for £7.1 million from Aston Villa and goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg, and are understandably keen to see their side strengthen further before the new season.
However, many fans are not convinced by Palace’s valuation of their top transfer target, taking to social media to voice their concerns about the pursuit of the Congo international, suggesting that he may not be the best value for money.
Whether or not boss Koeman agrees with such sentiments remains to be seen.
