Supporters located near the Arsenal dug-out reportedly turned on Wenger, screaming angered slurs toward the long-serving head coach, as stated by reports in the Mirror.
According to witnesses, the level of scathing insults reached an all-time high as his side could only manage a 1-1 draw with lowly Palace despite opening the scoring at the Emirates Stadium.
Demanding the 66-year-old steps down as head coach, certain members of the Gunners faithful reportedly told Wenger to “f*** off”.
Arsenal’s season is on the cusp of implosion after Manchester City moved ahead of them in the rankings and up to third following their 3-0 triumph over Chelsea.
However, despite losing ground in the fight to secure a place in Europe’s premier club competition, Wenger has given his players four of the last nine days off, in a report by the Daily Telegraph.
