As far as VIPs go, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are the most talked-about celebrity couple in the world.

The most popular musician on earth and the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs are set to get married this year.

The pair are often spotted at popular events, including last year’s Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.

If reports are to be believed, Swift and Kelce could be about to attend a major event on the tennis calendar.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly invited to the Australian Open

According to Australian outlet The Herald Sun, the Australian Open is eyeing up Swift and Kelce for a place in the stands at the Grand Slam.

A source told the paper: ‘We are looking forward to welcoming celebrities and VIPs from Australia and around the world, including some incredible guests courtesy of our AO Partners,’ the spokesperson said.

‘With Travis Kelce not making the playoffs with the Kansas City Chiefs, we have extended an open invite to him and Taylor Swift to come to the Australian Open.”

The Grand Slams have made a concerted effort over the years to embrace celebrity spectators, particularly at Wimbledon and the US Open.

In recent years, the likes of John Cena and David Beckham have been seen at the grass court event hosted in London.

The US Open final in 2025, meanwhile, was attended by President of the United States, Donald Trump, and Bruce Springsteen.

Which celebrities attended the 2024 Australian Open?

Swift and Kelce would join fine company if they decided to accept the invite as the 2024 Australian Open was stacked with A-list celebrities.

Some of Australia’s biggest celebrities, including Academy Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush and sports star Ricky Ponting, Ian Thorpe, and Brett Lee.

Former tennis stars Andy Murray and Ash Barty were also invited to the first Grand Slam of the year, despite not playing in the tournament.

In the entertainment sphere, Jackie Chan, Eric Bana, and Liam Hemsworth were also spotted at the Rod Laver Arena.
