Taylor Fritz confirmed to play tournament he’s already won four times

Taylor Fritz will be analysing his game after another Grand Slam, having reached the fourth round of the Australian Open.

Fritz had been struggling with injury heading into the Australian Open, but he decided to take on the hard-court event in Melbourne.

The American picked up good momentum early on, knocking out Valentin Royer, Vit Kopriva and Stan Wawrinka.

But his Australian Open hopes were ended abruptly in the fourth round, when Lorenzo Musetti won their match 6-2, 7-5, 6-4.

It continued his frustration at the Australian Open, where Fritz has never managed to make it beyond the quarterfinals.

Taylor Fritz confirmed for Eastbourne Open

Fritz will, however, be very confident of clinching success at another tournament this season, for which he has just signed up.

The ATP number seven has been confirmed for the Eastbourne Open, which returns in June just before Wimbledon.

Fritz has won the Eastbourne Open four times in his career, making him the most successful player in the history of the tournament.

He won his first ATP title at the event in 2019, and followed that up by lifting the trophy in 2022, 2024 and 2025.

Fritz is a 10-time champion on the ATP Tour, with almost half of his career titles having arrived at Eastbourne.

He clearly really enjoys playing on the south coast of England, where fans will be excited for his return this summer.

However, the ATP Masters 1000 Indian Wells title that he secured in 2022 represents his most significant success to date.

Having also taken on the United Cup before the Australian Open, he’ll head into his next tournament with a 4-4 win-loss record for the season.

Climbing two spots to seventh in the world rankings following the Grand Slam, Fritz currently has a 341-217 record for his career.
