Tottenham Hotspur have been relatively big in the United States for a while now, having welcome a host of American players over the years.
Kasey Keller, Brad Friedel, Clint Dempsey and DeAndre Yedlin have all turned out for Spurs, as has Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Last summer, it seemed that another American would be heading to North London, this time with Taylor Booth wanted.
The Daily Mail reported in May that Spurs had opened negotiations with Bayern Munich to try and engineer a deal for Booth.
In the end, no move materialised for Booth, and he has been stuck in Bayern’s second side, playing just 75 minutes of third tier action.
Now, 19-year-old Booth has made a rather strange move given that Tottenham wanted him less than a year ago, as he is off to Austria.

SKN St Polten have confirmed that Booth has joined them on loan from Bayern until the end of the season, bolstering their squad.
St Polten sit eighth out of 12 teams in Austria’s top flight having won just four games in 15 this season, with Booth now called upon to help change their fortunes.
From a possible move to join Jose Mourinho’s Spurs to now trying to salvage St Polten’s season, things maybe haven’t gone to plan for Booth, but he at least has a chance to impress now.
