The 17-year-old is a great long-term prospect for Tottenham Hotspur.

Much has been written about Tottenham Hotspur’s best young prospects but the focus is usually on those players aged 18 and over.

However there are plenty of younger Spurs players set for a very bright future, with arguably their best under-18 prospect set to take White Hart Lane by storm in the years to come.

Tashan Oakley-Boothe is a 17-year-old central midfielder who has been making waves for Tottenham’s under-18s for quite some time.

He was a regular in their UEFA Youth League squad and has helped the team reach the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup, while his efforts have been rewarded with a call-up to Tottenham’s under-23s, for whom he has featured three times to date.

The England under-17 international still has a long way to go before he is knocking on manager Mauricio Pochettino’s door. However he has all the attributes to be a future first-team star and he will be watching the progress of the likes of Harry Winks and Marcus Edwards very closely.

Not all of Tottenham’s prospects will ultimately make it, but such is their talent that more should do so in North London than at many other top flight clubs, and Oakley-Boothe will know that with hard work and patience anything is possible.
