The Tottenham Hotspur full-back is impressing at academy level and looks to have a bright future.
Tottenham Hotspur have an ongoing conveyor belt of teenage talent, with exciting right-back Kyle Walker-Peters the next tipped to break through after Marcus Edwards and Cameron Carter-Vickers.
But if the 19-year-old is going to be pushing for first-team chances in the years ahead, who will ultimately take his place in the under-23 side, continuing the pattern of teenage talent replaced by teenage talent?
That player could well be Tariq Hinds, a 16-year-old full-back who is able to play on either side and who made his debut for Tottenham’s under-23s against Liverpool earlier this season.
Hinds has a long way to go, but he possesses the innate talent required to forge a career at White Hart Lane and it will be interesting to see which side of the pitch he ultimately makes his own given his versatility.
Tottenham have plenty of full-back options, both in the first-team and coming through the ranks, but if the likes of Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies move on in search of regular first-team football, the next generation could be used as back-up and that is where Hinds will be hoping to make his name in a few years.
Until then he will continue his development for the under-18s and the under-23s, but on the evidence so far he is certainly yet another one to watch.
