Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele wants to leave next summer and join Real Madrid, according to Defensa Central.

What’s the story?

Defensa Central have reported that Ndombele wanted to leave Tottenham and join Madrid in the summer of 2021.

The 24-year-old midfielder is still keen on a transfer to Los Blancos.

The former Lyon star’s plan is to leave Spurs in the summer of 2022 and join the La Liga club.

Ndombele is out of contract at Tottenham in the summer of 2025.

Should Tottenham sell Tanguy Ndombele?

Based on how Ndombele has done for Spurs so far, we should not be surprised if the Premier League club do sell the midfielder in the summer of 2022.

The midfielder is not guaranteed a place in head coach Nuno’s starting lineup.

When Ndombele does play, he is not consistent enough.

Now, Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris told The London Evening Standard this month that Ndombele is ready to explode, and that “his energy is back”.

That is certainly encouraging, but we need to see that on the pitch soon.

Ndombele needs to start producing the goods in the coming weeks and months and help Spurs achieve their objectives this season.
