Tottenham Hotspur were beaten by Leicester City today.
Tanguy Ndombele has admitted to Canal Plus that Tottenham Hotspur did not deserve anything from this afternoon’s defeat by Leicester City.
Spurs lost 2-1 away to Brendan Rodgers’s side in a defeat which could leave them 10 points behind Liverpool if the European champions win at Chelsea on Sunday.
Tottenham took the lead through Harry Kane and had a goal ruled out through VAR after Son Heung-min was deemed offside in the build-up to Serge Aurier’s strike.
Leicester snatched the points in the final minutes through James Maddison, and Ndombele, a £63 million signing by the Lilywhites during the summer, claims that the North Londoners got what they deserved.
He told Canal Plus: “I think that we could have won this, but it was a fairly balanced match. It was not like they didn’t deserve to win. I think that at 1-0 we should have controlled the game more.”
It’s becoming quite worrying how Mauricio Pochettino’s side struggle to keep a lead.
They went 2-0 up against Olympiacos in midweek and wound up drawing 2-2, while the exact same happened in their trip to Arsenal before the international break.
